High School Student McKenzy Heavlin places second in research presntation at NCSEF Region 3b Science and Engineering Fair

McKenzy Heavlin, a current high school senior at NCSSM, presented his research at the NCSEF Region 3b Science and Engineering Fair, hosted by NCSSM on Monday, Feb. 5. For the past 6 months, McKenzy has been optimizing electroplating of surface electrodes under the mentorship of PhD student Ashley Williams. He placed 2nd in his event and will be moving on to the State Competition. Congrats McKenzy!
